Sagrada Família
As I have recently arrived back from holiday I thought it would be  appropriate to write a post on Barcelona. My boyfriend and I chose to  visit Barcelona as we had heard so many good reviews of the city. We  loved that it was both a beach and a city - so it had plenty of things to  do.

Our hotel - Gran hotel Torre Catalunya, made our trip even better as the  view from our bedroom window was exceptional - the window was  almost the size of the entire wall! The room was very clean and the  products in the bathroom were all Molton Brown - so, of course, we hid  these every day so that the cleaner would replace them.  The hotel also  had a spa pool, with Jacuzzi like jets to massage your feet and back!  Wearing the white, fluffy dressing gowns and slippers after a Molton  Brown infused shower almost made it impossible to leave the hotel and  explore the city.

Whilst we were in Barcelona, we regularly used the Trip Advisor app on our phones, which is available offline - this is essential when you are abroad and have roaming switched off. We used the app almost every night to read reviews of restaurants and bars before going to them. The best feature of this great app is "point me there" which is like a compass so that no matter where you are, the arrow will point in the direction of your destination - ensuring you will never get lost!

Magic Fountain

If visiting Barcelona, I would highly recommend visiting the Magic Fountain. It is a dramatic fountain display with lights and music. There are hundreds of people there and the atmosphere is great. Another place that I would recommend is a bar called Ice Barcelona. The whole place is made of ice including the glasses that you drink out of! Be prepared though, it really is freezing!
